Keraton Sambas

Sambas Sultanate government center is located in a small town which is now called the Sambas. To reach this city can be reached by land vehicles deari pontianak town as far as 175km to the northwest through the city Mempawah, Singkawang, Pemangkat and Sambas.
Sambas Sultanate palace stands in the village by the inhabitants called Muare Ullakan (Desa Dalam Kaum). At this location can be found several pieces of buildings, namely the dock, two gates, two Paseban, Office of the sultan, the core of the palace buildings, kitchens, and mosques.
Start building a palace built by the Sultan of Bima in the year 1632 has now been destroyed, while the palace that stands today was built in 1933. This palace is situated on the banks of the river Sambas, then built a dock that is more in the know with Seteher bridge. This bridge juts into the river.
