Museum Kalimantan Barat

Museum of West Kalimantan Province started in 1974 by the Office of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Province of West Kalimantan through the Rehabilitation and Expansion Project museum of West Kalimantan. Its function was inaugurated by the Director General of Culture Ministry of Education and Culture on October 4, 1983. Since then the West Kalimantan Provincial Museum opened to the public. This Museum are on the road jendral A Yani Pontianak. 

Currently the museum collection amounted to 6256 pieces, consisting of objects of geology, biology, ethnography, archeology, history, philology, ceramics, art, and numismatic / heraldic. Replicas and miniatures are also displayed in the Plaza include a foreign merchant ship anchors, lanting miniature houses, miniature rice, yellow miniature sassy, and a replica of the stone pait.

Opened :

- Tuesday - Thursday: AM 8:00 to 4:00 p.m.

- Friday - Saturday: At 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

- Sunday: AM 8:00 to 15:00

- On Monday and today the Great: closed
